Cincinnati Nature Center's Light In the Forest Event Inspired by the imaginative scale-shifting of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, this illuminated art display invites visitors into the hidden world of moths by placing them within a life-size diorama that reimagines a day in the life of these rarely seen pollinators. By making the viewer feel small, the installation fosters a sense of immersion, curiosity, and discovery.
Titled Pollinators Path, the lighted installation unfolds along a meadow pathway commissioned by the Cincinnati Nature Center for its Light in the Forest event. The work celebrates the ecological importance and quiet beauty of native moth species, with a special focus on the Luna moth and the Rosy Maple moth, highlighting their essential role in Ohio’s natural ecosystem.
